Inaugural event of the Business Crisis Management Center (BCMC)
The Business Crisis Management Center (BCMC) is a new initiative undertaken by the MBA faculty at the American College of Thessaloniki. The BCMC provides a platform for entrepreneurs to present the impacts of the current financial crisis on their businesses. The mission of the BCMC is to present tools and best practices available that can help them develop effective response measures. In addition to offering network opportunities, BCMC also provides access to library resources.
On January 25, Mr. Nikolaos Pentzos, President, Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (F.I.N.G), inaugurated the series of events about the current financial crisis by moderating the workshop Financial Crisis: challenges on SMEs. Through the interaction with the F.I.N.G President, the participants identified a number of topics addressing the challenges on SMEs, including liquidity issues, management practices for SMEs’ cost efficiencies, supply management , human resources management, innovation and SMEs’ outward-looking approaches.
