On September the 4th, the American College of Thessaloniki hosted its Open Day for all those students interested in pursuing a high quality university education. Participants had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the facilities of the College and to witness the presentation of ACT’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs delivered by members of its faculty. On the occasion of ACT’s Open Day to the public, all attendees were treated to an American barbecue and live music for their own pleasure.

After a roller-coaster semester of an experimental class, the students of SOCSCI 399 presented their research on May 27th to the organizations, their instructors and the ACT community. The aim of this pilot course is to enable students to make visible connections between community service, critical reflection on their own learning process, personal and professional development, citizenship skills and values.

The Punk Syndrome is a film about Finland’s most kick-ass punk rock band, Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät. The band members, Pertti, Kari, Toni and Sami, are mentally handicapped and they play their music with a lot of attitude and pride.
